"Love Poem To Theodore"
Try a little Tenderness
Softness and Loving, Not Striking or Owning
Day and Night, Sea And Land
Fishes Swimming in the Deep
Dolphins Playing, the People of the Sea
Something not Clearly Seen But Yet Still Vaguely Visible
Like A Ghost Or a Goal Or A Star or A dream
Evaporating in the early morning with memory's forgiveness
Oh Theodore, How Much Do I Love You!
My Love is burning bright in the night like a star
or two stars encircling one another, in orbit,
I hold you until my fear and terror of losing you is gone
the fear of losing you never leaves, yet it thaws
and I come into your arms and see a smile light thy sweet face
there is nothing more of infinity than to gaze into Theodore's Eyes
I see my destiny there, my hope, my light, my Future,
I see all my dreams fulfilled in thee, Theodore!
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
