"Why I Don't Believe In War"
There are heroes of every faith and nationality
all over the world
anybody can be a hero and yet they are rare
many heroes are the ones with the courage to
defy authority and stand up for what they believe in
others accomplish great acts of kindness
others do impossibly difficult, laborous jobs
others are old people facing death
others are caretakers of families and children
others are poor and homeless
its the divine spark in the everyday instant when
each one of us is faced with life's decisions, yet
instead of choosing the conformist or easy way out,
someone choose to have courage and make a stand
it can be any stand
a stand against general evil
that is why i don't believe in War, because
both sides are full of everyday heroes
we can all be heroes
its up to us, every day, to make the choices
that matter.
