I have Anxiety disorder and schizoaffective disorder, i've had it since the diagnosis of age 18; and i've kind of had it all my life...and i'm 30 years old, and i feel that my life is a huge success story for people with schizoaffective etc. i have heard voices that didn't exist since i was 20 or 21 years old, i don't hear them much anymore except when i dont get my meds within 12-24 hours. without my meds, i get incredibly sick... i think, psychotic, and paranoid. But..... I went to college for eight years following my diagnosis majoring in B.A. in English Literature. i nearly graduated but was unable to pass my senior seminar class. when i got out of college, i couldn't find ANY work... this continues to this day. So then i became a freelance writer online, writing for international and business articles etc. then i started writing poetry. after five years of poetry i mailed my work in to a NYC Publisher, and got a "Return to Sender" stamp, but.... i didn't give up. in the last seven years, to cut it short, i found over four publishers who published my work, including amazon and Barnes And Noble. I published a volume of poems today on both sites! I've written almost fifty ebooks for nook and Kindle, and... In 2016 I published 20 paperbacks or so with barnes and nob le, and they are being sold...for money. This week i publushed twenty or so more paperbacks with amazon....and they are being sold, for good money. That's my success story...how a girl can hear voices and have all manner of symptoms and yet write the most compelling beautiful poetry that i actually am now a proud and accomplished Professional Author, and always will be.....POWER TO THE MENTALLY CHALLENGED "You Can Do This, Too!"
