"When It Was Over You Held Me"
When It Was Over You Held Me
And That Was Enough to Get By
On Through is a light in the Night
Crushed By the Gravity of a Hellbent
God, We Raced Through the Thunderstorm
Over a Delirious Angry Sea of Sharks
And Reefs And God, I Just Held On
To my Plastic Covering My Plastic Tarp
I Held On To it wrapped around my
small body like it was you my Love my Life
held on for dear life
and when it was over you held me
in your soft warm all-forgiving arms
and we laughed, and for the first time
you smiled Victory, and then
We Let Go And Got Up For A New
Blow.
