"Lazy Summer"
Trickle of sun-warmed water on my toes
and fingertips.  i scoop a handful
of sunlit water and it trickles down me forehead,
nose and cheeks.  I feel the weeds of summer
are growing into my heart, and the hazy days
are so akin to laziness, so that one can't really
help being friendly.  Summer vines growing
summer wine and summer fruit and summer tea
Alabaster filled with blueness the pool is waiting
but i do not want to swim must cover one's skin
to keep it white as snow, the hot right sun will tan it
so.  better to stay indoors and write.  Open the doors
and feel free to extend one's hazy laziness into a soft
blanketed grass carpet of a world where only a hammock
could be more comfortable than one is now.
