Dearest Lord Jesus Christ,
I Pray Thee Shalt Not Take My Poetry Ability
Because Lord JEsus
it is the only
only thing
i have left
it is the only thing i want to do
and i want to do it more than anything
and i'm good
i'm good at it, lord!
Oh Sweet Lord, Provide for us Poetry
supply us with new hope for poetry is hope
its literal and figurative hope
its pure hope
if we give up poetry we give up hope
for there is nothing left for me
nothing on earth
for me to do
but stand and face the wall
or write.  Poetry is
all i have left.
Keep me alive.
